This Strawberry & Tomato Salad is light, refreshing, and bursting with fresh strawberry flavor. It’s really easy to put together and it’s perfect for a quick healthy lunch. Let’s jump right into it.

Recently, I have been enjoying having salads with my breakfast. I usually have 2 meals a day and I find that salads in the mornings help keep me satiated and full all day. I made this strawberry & tomato salad a few days ago and I absolutely enjoyed every bite.
If you love strawberries like I do, then you will love this quick and easy salad. It’s bursting with fresh flavour, crunchy from the greens and cherry tomatoes. This is one salad recipe you’ll love to have on hand.

Strawberry & tomato ingredients
The main ingredients in this salad are:
- Fresh strawberries: Fresh strawberries are the best for this salad. I will not recommend frozen strawberries simply because of the moisture. Nobody wants to eat soggy strawberry salad.
- Cherry tomatoes: I love cherry tomatoes in salads because they are crunchy and hold up very well.
- Baby spinach: This is my preferred greens for salads because it’s crunchy. However, other greens like baby arugula, kale, lettuce, etc. will work really well.
- Walnut: I love the buttery taste of walnuts and I usually have a big batch in my pantry. Any type of lightly toasted nuts will work great.
The Dressing
I kept the dressing for this salad really simple. I drizzled some good quality olive oil, balsamic glaze and seasoned it with salt and pepper. The balsamic glaze added a delicious sweet taste to the salad which contrasted well with the tartness of the strawberries. However, you can also use a lemon vinaigrette or any salad dressing you have on hand.
