Soaking my feet in a warm tub of warm water with my DIY relaxing bath salts is one of my favourite ways to relax after a long busy week on my feet decorating cakes for @nookiesboutiquecakes. Over time, stress can build up in the body, with signs like back pain, fatigue and sore muscles. That’s why is crucial we take time each week to indulge in some self-care.
Today, I share with you this DIY bath salts combination that is super easy to make.
Ingredients for DIY relaxing bath salts
The main ingredient you need to make this DIY relaxing bath salt is Epsom salt. I use Elysium Spa 100% Dead Sea Bath Salts. Here is a similar one.
Dead sea salts contain magnesium, potassium and sodium which helps replenish natural minerals in the body and helps to relieve stress & alleviate tired muscles.
Magnesium: Promotes rapid healing of skin tissues
Potassium: Helps to balance moisture in the skin and body, therefore assists in the reduction of water retention in the body.
Sodium: Relieves stiffness and tired, aching muscles.
- Dried Lavender/Rose Petals (optional)
Lavender is one of my favourite scents to use when I need some stress relief and relaxation. I love to use dried lavender buds for my soaking time and lavender essential oils for my diffuser. I also add some rose petals because I love the way it looks in my bathwater.
